Junya Watanabe is a Japanese fashion designer known for his avant-garde style and innovative use of materials. Born in 1961, he started at Comme des Garçons, training under Rei Kawakubo, and launched his own line in 1992. Watanabe's work is celebrated for blending futuristic aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship, using unconventional fabrics and intricate designs to push fashion boundaries.
